Lake Ozark, MO - The Missouri Association
of RV Parks and Campgrounds (MOARC) has signed an alliance
agreement with Friend Communications, Inc. that enables MOARC
member parks to provide real-time, online reservations directly
through their Web sites.
"Technology is really heading toward the Internet,"
said John Peters, MOARC President. "I'm familiar
with the hotel industry and I know how reservations have increased
by using the Web. This Friend system is a stepping-stone for
our association. It's our entry into the Internet world."
The Friend system provides guests with online reservation
capabilities. Member parks receive sophisticated, Web-based
front office management tools and dynamic widespread marketing
initiatives that will help grow and manage each member's business.
"Today's generation of campers seeks modern conveniences
like the capability to make online reservations," explained
Gary Pace, President of Friend Communications. "By using
this system, member parks will not only please campers, but
they will also find benefits themselves. The powerful system
tools that are wrapped into a single platform help grow business
while embracing the Internet revolution."
The agreement process started almost a year ago. So far, two
of the 50 parks in the association use the system. Cross Creek
RV Park, owned by Peters, is one of them. He reported: "The
support has been fantastic and very helpful - especially for
users new to computer technology. Friend is user-friendly
and campground-friendly - pretty much just what its name says."
MOARC is a non-profit trade association that represents
RV parks and campgrounds throughout Missouri. The goal of
MOARC is to continually improve campgrounds so that campers
experience a positive and relaxing time at each member campground.
The association works to bring campground owners together.
