 Tallahasee, FL - The Florida Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (Florida ARVC)
has partnered with Friend Communications Inc. The partnership offers
member parks technology tools including online, real-time reservations;
Web-based front office management tools; and dynamic widespread
marketing initiatives. The agreement became effective at the end
of April and parks have already begun using the system.
In partnering with Friend, Florida ARVC was impressed with the business
development and marketing advantages the system offers. "Friend
offered us a reservation system that gave us more exposure with
their partners, and hopefully that would give us more business,"
said Florida ARVC Chairman of the Board, Dick Whalen. "We had
a similar system, but we weren't getting the business from it that
we wanted and it was not being used by the Florida Parks."
Friend Internet portal partners help market member associations
by linking to one another. "Not only do campground associations
benefit from the technology, but they also receive marketing resources
that would otherwise be difficult to obtain," said Gary Pace,
President of Friend Communications. "This system offers online,
mutually beneficial relationships between Friend alliance partners."
Florida is the tenth campground association to sign-on as
an alliance partner with Friend Communications, following
California Travel Park Association, Texas Association of Campground
Owners, the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds,
Missouri Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds, the Arizona
Travel Park Association, Virginia Campground Association,
the Campground Owners of New York, Association of RV Parks
and Campgrounds of Michigan and Maine Campground Owner's Association.
Other partners include RV rental companies Bates International
Motorhome Rental Systems (Las Vegas, NV), and El Monte RV
(Sante Fe Springs, CA).
